Building confident, life-long learners is the goal of Camelot Kids Transitional Aqua Dragons and Rainbow Dragons Kindergarten Program. Offering a low teacher to child ratio, Camelot Kids is able to tailor curriculum to meet the needs and expectations of every child and their family. Enrollment is open to families with children ages 4.5 - 5 years old.

Our Aqua Kinder room is painted in calming, cool, refreshing shades of aqua reminiscent of the beautiful color of the ocean.  Aqua is believed to have a soothing effect.  It can help to release anger and negativity, offers mental peace and clarity by providing emotional balance.  Aqua symbolizes youth, fidelity, hope and health and is also associated with speech and communication, confidence, strength, and idealism.

The Rainbow Kinder program was designed to further prepare our children for elementary school. Our Rainbow Dragons will receive a high level of academic instruction that will tailor to the individual needs of each student.  Our Kinder curriculum meets the Common Core State Standards and focuses on enhancing literacy skills, solving everyday math problems, and uses STEM strategies to help mold creative minds.  Our goal is that every student will leave the Rainbow Kinder classroom confident with the skills they need to conquer any challenge that comes their way outside the magical  walls of Camelot.

Our Literacy Curriculum is based on Houghton Mifflin Harcourt - StoryTown a K–6 Reading/Language Arts program with a “2+2 then Review” instructional design for skill and strategy development, plus differentiated instruction that meets the needs of all students. Our math curriculum is based on the Go Math! A program which was developed to meet Common Core State Standards. The program focuses on big ideas and asks children questions to guide them to develop a deeper understanding of math concepts at their own pace. Word problems are also posted daily as a part of the math curriculum. This helps children recognize numbers in their own world and to create strategies for solving problems in a natural, efficient, manner.
